The Athens Alzheimer Association, in collaboration with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), is organizing the Alzheimer Festival 2024 on September 14 and 15 at the SNFCC Lighthouse, with free entry. The festival is part of World Alzheimer’s Month and aims to raise public awareness about dementia, providing information on the available structures and services that support patients and their caregivers.
During the two-day festival, there will be expert talks, memory tests, workshops for children and adults, and activities promoting healthy eating and mental health. The festival also aims to combat the social stigma associated with dementia by giving a platform to people with dementia and caregivers to share their experiences.
The program includes lectures on the latest scientific developments, discussions with experts, memory tests with prior registration, and workshops focusing on Alzheimer’s disease, prevention, and care.
