Curator Paris Kapralos and Chili Art Gallery, in collaboration with 20 visual artists from Greece and Cyprus, invite you to attend the opening of the first exhibition of the new season titled "Perseverance" The opening will take place at the Chili Art Gallery (13-15 Dimofontos Street, Thisseio, Athens) on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 18:00 to 21:00.
The exhibition will run until Saturday, September 23, 2023, and starting from the second day after the opening, it will also be available online through ARTgrID (artgrid.gr) platform.
A catalog for the exhibition has been published in both Greek and English languages, available to all visitors free of charge.
Participating artists in the exhibition include: Natalia Papachristou, Catherine Tsirigkouli, Magda Dimoudi, Chrysoula Demagou, Anita Xanthou, Theodoros Alexoudis, Constantine Saifoyntinov, Nicholas Baltzis, Makis Zacharatos (EYTHYMIOS), Ageliki Alexandridou, Alexandra Bantalouka, Poli Kanistra, Kevork Melkonian, Lena Spania, Hare Tahir, Christina Kalafati, Eisa Baddour, Dimitrios Katrisiotis, Vana Lafazani, Kristina Politidou.
Mr. Kapralos notes in the exhibition documentation: "Perseverance is the driving force of self-realization and evolution. perseverance compels us to serve our vision and continue with our values, despite social toxicity and in opposition to the misery of everyday life. perseverance differs from patience - which implies a suspensive notion of tolerance - as it is characterized by unwavering commitment to long-term goals and is associated with unyielding determination to progress toward achieving a goal, even if it requires a lot of time and effort. perseverance differs from persistence, as perseverance may be characterized by an inability to adapt to new information or conditions, while perseverance implies a steadfast commitment to achieving long-term goals. perseverance is a driving force to become the change we want to see; it keeps us moving, constantly seeking improvement."

About the Curator
Paris Kapralos is a Visual Curator, Founder & Coordinator of ARC - Art Revisited Collective, and co-publisher of Arts & Antiques CCR. He was born in 1975 and grew up in Athens, where he lives and works, and is active internationally. During the period 2008 – 2022, he resided in Northern Greece. He studied Economics (Athens) and Graphic Arts (Staffordshire, England). He worked as a journalist specializing in Technology for financial newspapers, magazines, and online news agencies (1999-2006). He served as an Organizational Manager and organizer of business conferences in the field of Information Technology & Telecommunications (Infocom, Greek ICT Forum, 2004-2011) and changed his professional path to the field of Art in 2011. He collaborated with the Myrό Group (Myrό Gallery, Myrό Antiques House, Greek Marble Initiative, 2011-2017). Since 2018, he has been working as an independent Organizer and Curator of art exhibitions and events. He served as a representative of the Greek Chapter of the International Watercolor Society (IWS) from 2019 to 2022 and in October 2022, took on the role of Development Director at ARTgrID alongside his other activities. About Chili Art Gallery
Chili Art Gallery was founded in 2010 and is located in Thisseio, Athens, next to the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Athens "Melina," a stone's throw from the liveliest spot in our city, Gazi.
