Wednesday, April 6th, 2016 - Modern Contemporary Museum Amsterdam (Moco) signifies Springtime in Amsterdam opening with two long expected exhibitions by Andy Warhol and Banksy. Setting a goal to extend a volitional hand to a younger audience worldwide, the new museum for modern and contemporary art will present more than eighty works of art by the renowned artists.

Banksy's Laugh Now  show will include mostly canvas works while Andy Warhol exhibition will be mostly photographs of him as well as one of his most famous works Marilyn Monroe. Moco is a private Museum launched by Lionel and Kim Logchies, owners of LionelGallery in Amsterdam, counting almost 20 years of experience in the art industry. In those years they have managed artworks by prominent international artists such as Keith Haring, Andy Warhol, Jean Michel Basquiat, Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons, Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dali, while contributing to triggering interest in the whole Street Art movement.  A part of the earnings of the foundation will be donated to charities. The museum is located on the Museum Square between the Van Gogh and the Rijksmuseum, in a Villa Alsberg townhouse, designed by architect Eduard Cuypers in 1904 refurbished by Studio Piet Boon. The museum sports a vegetarian restaurant and a museum shop, and hosts events.

Warhol: Royalty (April 9th  - July 3rd, 2016)

Visiting Hours: Everyday 10.00 - 20.00 summertime / 10.00 - 18.00 wintertime, Fridays 10.00 - 21.00.
