Monday, February 9th, 2016 - In a moment of inspiration, Leonidas Kourgiantakis transformed a professional assignment into a potential work of art by placing himself in his photographic survey of the Benaki Museum. The subject matter of the exhibition is, in other words, his incarnated vision within his photographic image and at the same time within the exhibition space and workplace. The exhibition strives to define in a playful way the photographer as gaze, as body and as profession. In the end, it offers an artistic photographic comment on the role and function of the Museum, on the act of exhibiting, while presenting at the same time a series of autonomous works of art. Curated by: Spyros Giannaras. The show will be taking place in the Benaki Museum, in its main building, 1, Koumbari Street, Kolonaki. More info at http://bit.ly/1QEX31m.
