Watercolor is one of the oldest and most difficult media in painting. Contemporary watermedia techniques cover watercolor, watercolor pencils and markers, gouache, egg tempera, acrylics, collage, and more. The pure watercolor is the traditional technique, but according to most watercolor or watermedia societies in the world there is no need to stay loyal to it and, thus, miss the opportunities given by the use of the other watermedia techniques. The experimentation is extended beyond the colors. More and more artists experiment with watermedia and exhibitions focus in presenting experimental watermedia. Our fine selection comprises from artworks that extend from the traditional transparent watercolour to vigorous contemplations of synthetic colours and waterbased mixed media.

International watermedia scene has been uplifted as a market the recent years due to a change of standards and a renewed vigour shown by several important artists. Along with the upturn of this media come contemporary trends of non figurative origin, and contemporary arts genres as Pseudorealism, contemporary classical realism, and Urban Art. By the investor's point of view, though the genre doesn't include many bluechip artists, international artists grow in numbers and value, pointing to a maturity potential.
